Macsteel Service Centers SA is currently recruiting students to undertake the aforementioned learnership apprenticeships opportunities.
Warehouses and storage (NQF 3)
Production technology (NOF 4)
Health and Safety (NQF 4)
Grade 12 (matric) – mathematics (40%), literary mathematics (50%), English (50%)
Ability to communicate (read, write and speak) in English.
Availability and commitment to complete the full year (12 months) of practical training for use in a technical environment.
Applicants must complete the apprenticeship application form available in the HC department and submit it with their CV (for internal use only).
Admission is based on merit and applicants who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered. Working conditions and salaries for boarding students will be maintained as is, with time to attend classroom learning sessions.
External students will receive a monthly learning allowance (R3600) from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the apprenticeship) to apply the practical learning component.
All learning courses will take place at Macsteel’s head office in Boksburg, travel to and from the site will be at the student’s expense.
Applications for external students must include a tax identification number, proof of bank details, a clear copy of the identification in color, higher grades and a full CV.
Internal applications must be approved by the administration.
The selection of students will be made through the selection and interview process and the result of the selection will be considered final.
