Grade 12. Successful completion of basic education / remedial science. Average credit rating Annual results before departure date. Former employees must be under 55 and have no employment / criminal proceedings / department insult. Former officials who have left the unit for more than two (2) years are considered. Officials who left Department of Correctional Service, redundancy and ill health are not considered for reappointment Powers and characteristics: Computer literacy. Firearms Competency. Good communication, interpersonal and messaging skills. Knowledge of applicable legislation, policies and procedures. Knowledge of minimum security standards for correctional centers.
Perform access control within the Recovery Center or between areas within the Recovery Center. Control movement
internally as well as externally prisoners. Prison guards in correctional centers and external public institutions. Take physical security
checks. Store management and security equipment. Manage your security room. Ensure the rehabilitation of offenders through corrections and
human development in a safe, secure and humane place of detention. Financial and asset management.
CB 1-1 to CB1-3 R160 419 – R242 640 per year. The grade / step is determined on the basis of departmental transfer principles.
