Murray & Roberts Cementation invites relevant qualified candidates to apply for the Artisan Electricic Artisan learnership position. The successful candidate will report to Foreman Engineering. The business will provide salaries and benefits that are appropriate for the job. Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged candidates from South Africa (HDSA). Eligible candidates must have the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
Article 26 Electricity Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate by a registered authority
Valid first aid certificate
Valid code EB driver’s license
Good communication skills in English
Analytical and careful with details
Team management and leadership skills
Self-motivated, resourceful problem solver for parameters
Able to make decisions within certain parameters
Intelligent agility and adaptability to new technologies
The successful candidate is responsible for, but not limited to:
Cost reduction, long average time to failure after recovery
Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
Effective self and team monitoring in line with MRC values and leadership initiatives
Effective stakeholder engagement
Engineering equipment is repaired to standards, specifications and schedules
Electrical equipment is installed and maintained according to standards, procedures and specifications
Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and security protocols
