Do you need financial aid to study at a tertiary institution? Apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Scholarship.
NSFAS is a bursary scheme funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training for those who do not have the financial resources to study and who do not have access to bank funding, student loans or bursaries.
The financial support of NSFAS used to be in the form of loans and still has to be repaid after finding a job after graduation. If you passed all subjects, 40% of NSFAS funding in that year / semester was converted into a scholarship. This means that you will only repay 60% of the loan when you return.
